Well.... Before everything happened with Buttons. I applied to get licensed as a rehabiliator/rescuer. I got a call today saying that theyv reviewed the paper work and next step is the inspection of my home. They are coming in 3 weeks to inspect. If I stay under 7 dogs (including my own) on my residence it is much cheaper and I wouldn't want that many any way so its turning out to not be too bad of a thing. I was soo iffy and nervous about getting licensed but I'm starting to feel much better. I am only going to stick to 1-2 dogs at a time still like I have been. Kris finished putting up seperated fencing this past weekend we are all in place. My goal with this is to take the harder to place dogs, train them, get to know them, and find them their forever homes. It's pretty much what I've been doing for Kim, just going to be more official! I'm trying to think of a name to call what I'm doing. Id like it to be something rehabilitation center. I was thinking Simply Misunderstood Rehabilitation Center. Any ideas?! I also have another rescue lol, so much for my break!! He's a 1 year old Pit Bull. He's a little guy. Id say 45-50 pounds. He's adorable. Great with dogs, kids, ignores cats. He was confiscated by police because he was chained to a tree and being beat with a bat by his owner. He hasn't let that experience haunt him tho. He's an outgoing love bug!!

Wow, AmJo! You are a whirlwind! LOL Congrats on proceeding with rescue. Your new guy is adorable.
If you want my honest feedback, I don't like the term "rehabilitation" when it comes to behavior modification. That's just my opinion. You have to pick a name you feel comfortable with. I love "Simply Misunderstood" in the name, though.
I'll be anxious to hear how the licensing goes!

Hows 'Simply Misunderstood Dog Rescue & Training' sound?? So far Im thinking thats the one. I love how it sounds! I dont have too many other ideas.... Quite a few doors have opened for me in the past few weeks and its given me a breath of fresh air. I also got an amazing PM on FB from a follower who owns 4 Pits. 3 Females and 1 Male. The plan was to breed them, but after following me and my rescues shes decided to spay/neuter them all. Made me feel really good!! Ive also suddenly had a TON of people interested in my trainings. I dont know how they heard of me but theres a flow of clients all the sudden. Feels really good and I feel like I am where I want and need to be. I plan on continuing growing and going forward as more funding comes in and more oppurtunities. Im taking it a day at a time and just going forward no matter what!
