Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on here much, things have been very busy here!!
I'm hoping you guys can give me an observation on the behavior of the Presa in this video.
He's 9 months old & intact was said to be VERY dog aggressive.
(And sorry for all my weirdness and talking....Wasnt planning on posting these any where!

um, i dont see any DA in either video... the top video he wanted to play, gave great body language... the second video he sorta couldnt figure her out cause she was so small but he looked like he was trying to figure her size out for playing

I agree with ME.
Have you tested him with males? Maybe it's just a boy thing.
BTW, he's stunning!

Very nice! He seems to "check" himself a couple times (shaking off and head turns), he moves away nicely (doesn't overwhelm/rush). I thought he did great with both dogs.
Have you tested him with adult males his size?
(He's so handsome!)

normally most breeds can be same sex aggress. so maybe like others said its a boy thing with other males?

Definitely don't see DA..... Like the others said, good play and good body language, some good shake offs and head turns, and maybe it's a same sex issue?
In the first video, there wasn't even a lot of awkwardness, there was good "lets explore" type of play, where they were trying to feel each other out a bit and nothing looked inappropriate even. In the second video you can see he's a little confused about the size of the other dog, like he's trying to figure out "how does this work?" but he was appropriate in his play.
I would be curious to know why he was labelled DA, maybe he gets frustrated from a distance and looks DA, or maybe it's just other males...?

Thank you for the feedback!! He's met Rocco ( a male Pit I'm training) and Bola and did fine with them but he definitely acts different with males. The play is very dominant. But those boys are pretty submissive. I don't think I should introduce him to Capone because I know Capone would try and start something. :/ His breeder had to separate him from a few dog fights and said he was very, very dog aggressive. That he'd even go after puppies. Idk if maybe the breeder was just introducing him wrong or if its because he was in a kennel then a lot. He's been solid here! This is Copola BTW. I am very good friends with his breeder and he may be living here from now on if everything works out!! He's 9 months old and his hip test didn't come back good enough to breed him so Trisha, the breeder gave him to us. He's a sweet boy, loves EVERYONE.

It could also be that it was only BIG Presas he didn't like. And her dogs are all probably more dominant than my couch potatoes.

Lol!! Oh Sadie!! Awesome! Thank you Mary! Neva has always been SUPER aloof with people. Copola is pretty social. They are such buds already I'm HOPING hell guide her to be a little more social!!
