(not sure if this is the right area, so move as needed) Lately Chubby has been getting up a lot in the middle of the night to get out of bed and lie on the wood floor, and then more around a couple times to find another cool spot. I was considering getting him on of those cooling mats, but I don't know if they are really worth the price. Anyone have any experience with those? I want to be able to provide Chubby with a cool place to lay down when its too warm. We keep the fans on, he gets ice water but sometimes he looks like he just needs to find a cool spot. Anyone ever use one, or know someone who has? Do they really stay cool and about how cool do you think they get? something like this: www.drsfostersmith.com/product/prod_display.cfm?pcatid=22022

I have one. I got it ages ago I think it is the one from Fosters and Smith. I just remember that it was expensive and Harley never laid on it! Every other dog I have owned when they got to hot would get up and seek shade or a cooler spot - not Miss. Brainiac Harley. She just continues to bake in the sun. I would even pick her up and lay her on it and she still wouldn't stay. I can't even recall how long it stayed cold- I think it was good. It was one of those gel ones. I remember it was heavy too.
I don't even know where it is otherwise I would send it to you for Chubby.
