My neighbor has allowed her back yard to go to hell, basically allowing anything to grow. Last year I noticed a mulberry tree next to the fence, and let her know about it. I did sort of insinuate it should be cut down.
This year it is fruiting, and the branches are over the fence into my yard. Lola has found that the berries are falling. Hence the ecstasy; she loves them. So much that she ignores anything and everything while she's hunting them down. I actually have to physically nudge her to get her to hear me. It's the first thing she does when she runs into the yard, sometimes forgetting the reason she's out there in the first place. Hence the agony.
She's pooping five times a day now, between the berries and the grass she grazes on. An hour after she comes back inside she's whining to go out again.
The up side is, she's got lots of energy lately!

This thread made me laugh! I can picture Lola all zoned out in berry mode. She's so bouncy lately!! Hopefully they won't be fermenting on the ground. I don't know if a drunk Lola would be a good thing. She's a kick-ass bitch sober.

So, yesterday I get home from work a little bit later than normal, I go inside and little miss Purple Pants almost pushed by me out the door. I stop her, she turns around and literally is bouncing up and down like a rubber ball to get outdoors. She doesn't even acknowledge me. I let them out, she blasts down the yard straight for the mulberry tree and starts eating like mad. She's got a monkey.

LOL!! that purple monkey fits her!!!! (she is just like honey, honey is obsessed with the grubs/beetles in the grass and as soon as she is outside she digs up the grass and forgets everything else)

lol She's addicted. I wonder what she'll do once it's over. I guess that's a better addiction than what Wrinkles would do. She would head right over to where the boys do their business and would search for poop. Even long after I caught on she would double check to see if I missed anything. I must say though, that she is a sweet, innocent looking little pit bull.

Lola is a seasonal grazer. She goes to town on the little green helicopter seeds that show up in the spring. She loves grazing on crab grass when it starts growing. Right now it's the Mulberry's. Who knows what will be next? She just loves to eat. It doesn't matter what it is.
Oh, and a little angel she is definitely not.

I don't know what it is about crab grass but all my dogs have enjoyed munching on it.
