Well I can't tell from that pic what his weight is like. What does your vet say? It is hard to give you a specific weight he should be because the adult size of this breed varies so much.

Ok, he is sooooooooo cute. Wow, what a sweet face. He does look he might be bordering on being a tiny bit over what his ideal weight should be. (You don't happen to have a pic of him standing, do you?) You don't want a thin puppy by any means, but growing bones and ligaments shouldn't have too much weight to bear. But keep in mind a little pudgy for a growing puppy isn't a bad thing, either. They grow out of that stage fast and then end up looking kind of lanky.
What sort of food are you feeding and how much per meal?

I am not positive but I thought my vet said that a pound or two weight gain per week for a pup that age is normal.

Can you easily feel his ribs under his skin? I'm always reluctant to say a growing pup should lose any weight.

Very cute puppy! He looks healthy, which is a lot better than having a pup who looks like it needs fed. Like my non pit bull 10 wk puppy.

Has he been dewormed? Sometimes puppies look a little chubby because they need a good dose of dewormer. He doesn't look overweight to me, though. Re-asses his weight in about 6 months and go from there. A few extra lbs for a young dog can be taken care of very easily.
