Hello. I am new to this forum and have many many questions. I have a 9 month old pit bull who is starting to get very aggressive towards humans. I've taken him to puppy obedience classes and have tried to socialize him well but nothing seems to be working.
I've heard different things about having him neutered...Does it really help with aggression? What is the best age is to have him neutered? Some say soon and others say wait till he is full grown....Any Advice?
Also...I am currently looking into BarkBusters Home Training and just wanted to know if any of you have used them? Its quite expensive but I'm more than willing to pay it if it will keep my dog from snapping at people.
I love my dog...it has just become impossible for us to take him anywhere!! I am very excited about finally having people that can relate to me and puppy problems. Thanks in advance for all of your help!

Neutering definitely helps with aggression, but only to a certain extent. He will still need work with a behaviorist, the neutering alone will not solve the problem.
I know someone who used Barkbusters, and while she gave them rave reviews, from my understanding they are more of the dominant, CM type approach-why not try and find a trainer in your area that uses a more positive approach?
Is he aggressive towards all kinds of people or certain types? Was he socialized well from a puppy?
I'm not an expert at all, hopefully others can offer more advice...good luck with him!
