Oh my God, that is awful. I hope the dog comes home safe and sound.

Oh my god, Why does it feel like the pit mix will be blamed ultimately for the fight?

See now... we had an "escape" of our own at the shelter last week. It was a result of a careless pt kennel tech/volunteer who just HAD to pet the new Siberian Husky that came in. She opened the kennel gate to step in with a dog I had JUST finished telling her to be careful with because she WOULD bolt. I just don't get how people who work with animals every day could be so careless. Especially in a setting like a shelter or boarding facility where these dogs are in unfamiliar territory and most only want to go "home". *sigh* Don't get me wrong... I know that accidents happen. But I don't understand how SOMEONE didn't notice a dog as large as a pit bull strolling through the building. Was there nobody in the front to "man" the area for owners arriving with pets and whatnot? So yeah... I hope they find this girl and that they find her safe and in good health. My prayers are going out to the family and the pooch for sure! Oh my god, Why does it feel like the pit mix will be blamed ultimately for the fight? I would hope not... they said in the video that it was 2 other dogs that got into a fight. No mention of the pit mix being involved what so ever. Oh! And we did catch the Husky shortly after she bolted.

Yay for the securing of the husky. I completely agree with the dogs are scared and just wanna go home to where it is safe, and exactly how the heck did NO ONE notice the big pibble running loose????
