Just wondering how often my dogs and cat should visit the vet. There is nothing wrong with them and the got their rabies redone in oct. Our paperwork for the dogs say that they have to have another fical exam this month. I made an apt for feb. when I am able to take time off because I have inventory and stuff all this month. Is it the same for humans an annual physical exam type deal?

In my opinion, dogs should visit the vet at least annually. Sometimes there are lumps or anomolies which you may not notice but the vet does during annual visits and finding and treating these early may make a difference in the short term or long term health of your pet.

Just wanted to add.....that doesn't mean if something anomalous that doesn't APPEAR to be causing any problems pops up you shouldn't make an extra trip.

Well definitely anything abnormal for sure a vet visit is in order ... I was just wondering because we have had issues with our vets in the past so we finally went to the local SPCA at the end of last year, only asking because of the issues from previous vets.
Thank you everyone again! ;D
