I have decided between Natural Balance Ultra or Blue Buffalo Chicken and Brown Rice. I am also going to mix that with chicken breast w/bone and raw eggs which is something I haven't done before. What do you think, is this a good start? This will be a new adventure for me.

Hi Michael!
Never feed raw meat with bones at the same time as kibble. Kibble takes much longer to digest and can wreck havoc when fed at the same time. Generally, allow several (6 or more) hours between kibble meals and meat w/ bone. Raw meat without bones is fine to add in as a supplement.
I've never fed Blue Buffalo but others here have and do so they may chime in. Natural Balance is a good food, I'd recommend the Sweet Potato & Venison, Potato & Duck or Sweet Potato & Fish, I've never fed the Ultra. But it's a good food.

I prefer Blue Buffalo because it has a higher meat content, although the ingredients of the NB Ultra sound better than the other NB lines. I have never fed NB, just going from the ingredients on the bag and feedback from others. Many of the NB formulas don't even have meat as the first ingredient.
I can go on all day about Blue Buffalo, as I work for the company, but really what is above is my personal opinion, not based on the company's info.

Thank you for your help. I wanted to feed the kibble in the a.m. and then the chicken in the p.m. but the chicken and egg may not be a every day thing but I would like to get a set schedule going. Feeding raw is a whole new world to me and with Mac I would like to keep him sort of on that but I don't think I will be able to do it on the same level as Jessica was, but I want to make the effort. My 2 dogs have always done good on just kibble.

you can do kibble in the morning, and raw at night. but with raw give variety.. do chicken, turkey, beef, venison, pork. you could even feed cornish hens, half a hen at night, the other half next day. dont give too many eggs in a week either, 3 a week is good but not every night. check out the raw feeding info i posted too, it gives a ton of examples of raw dinners to feed.. you can ease your way into it, even do raw just a few nights a week to get your feet wet. and with one dog, you can do all raw once you get the hang of it. therealpitbull.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=bethebestguardianucanbe&action=display&thread=627
