Do your research BEFORE you bring a Pit Bull home. Don't expect to be educated by breeders who are just looking for your money and don't really care about the breed or where their pups go.
The woman I just got off the phone with is now facing a difficult decision. Her 8 week old female APBT pup (whom she got at 5 weeks....way too early!!!) is being attacked by her adult female APBT. The breeder gave her NO indication that two females in a novice home was a bad idea. On top of sending this pup off to her new home at ENTIRELY too young an age.
This sort of callous, ignorant, harmful action by breeders infuriates me!!!!! Don't be a victim, don't allow yourself to be taken advantage of by unethical breeders. Knowledge is power and easily obtained by simply doing a few months, or a year's worth of research before making the life-changing decision of bringing a new dog into the home - a decision for which you will be responsible for 12 to 15 years.
