Hi all. I am in the process of finding a new job and have found a few tempting options in Germany. BUT, I have heard many things about strict BSL in Germany and laws that may prohibit the importation of Pit Bulls or mixes thereof into the country. I have a Pit mix (30 pounds, she looks as much like an overgrown Chihuahua as she does a miniature Pit Bull) and don't want to get excited about a job I wouldn't take if I couldn't bring my dog with.
I have spent hours researching this and can only find vague and sometimes conflicting information. Does anyone have experience with the "Dangerous Dog" laws in Germany? I am willing to jump through many hoops if it means a great job in a great country with my favorite companion. But if i can't, without exception, bring her into the country its not an option.
Thanks for any info you can provide!

do some research before you decide on GERMANY but if I were you , I would not go where my dog was not welcome...... no matter how bad the economy is and jobs are hard to find, be positive, there may be a perfect job for you in the states......its a matter of not giving up and looking in the right directions....... Its six months quarantine if you travel to ENGLAND with your dog.. that is months of your dog in a cage for all that time, not worth a cent to me regarding this... I dont know about the laws in GERMANY though or may be this law is more lenient now ... would not hurt to do research...
