I didn't know where to post this so I hope this is the right place if not oh wells.....
Just a few minutes ago my bf had went out to his truck to get something that fell out of the bag from walmart that he needed for his fish tank thingy. (We live in apt complex that says private property etc.) So he goes out and parked nexted to him there is a black honda with a black pit puppy locked in the car with all the windows up and then he noticed that there are these people at the pool that he has never seen at the complex before so he asumes that the dog belongs to them that is beside the point. Any way he tells me this after coming back in and I tell him to call the cops. So he calls the cops and with in like 5 minutes the cops arrive one cop goes to the car were the puppy is locked up and the other one goes to the pool were the people are. Maybe 10 at the most are at the pool. The next thing we see is the owner of the dog coming to get the puppy out and walk it around the complex bc that is what the cop told him to do and while the guy was gone walking the dog the cop writes a ticket out. when the guy returns he hands him the ticket to sign and the two cars (full of people) leave the complex. Obviously they don't live there.
Killed two birds with one stone. GO us we saved a dog from heat and dehydration unfortunally we will never know what will come of this poor pup but at least for now he won't have to be in the car freaking out with out fresh cool air.

Everyone makes mistakes. Hopefully these idiots have learned from theirs. It drives me nuts to see dogs locked in cars. Sometimes you gotta do it, but to go swimming? Really? With the windows up? Geez.

GOOD for you for calling the police! It INFURIATES me when I see dogs locked in cars. Hopefully these people will have learned a lesson here.
Speaking of locking helpless beings in hot cars, I heard on the news recently some lady left her BABY locked in the car, but took the dog into the store with her!

I'm so glad this situation turned out well. I just hope these people don't do that again to that poor dog...

we also call cops every time. Even if it is cracked a little. With the Florida weather and heat you have too and just a crack in the window won't do a darn thing to save a dog or a kid.
I can't believe someone will forget their child in a car and remember the dog. My thought process would be the baby then the dog. I always double check to make sure that I lock my doors and the lights go off before I head inside any where. I just can't understand how anyone can leave someone in car like that. Sorry I just can't wrap my head around that.
