Directions:
The event will be held at Nomahegan Park in Cranford, NJ. The park entrance is on Springfield Ave, directly across from Union County College. Park in the lot, and the event set up will be right off the walkway, in front of the picnic/playground area.
To get there: Take Garden State Parkway (GSP) to Exit 137. Go right off the exit, merging onto Rt 28/North Ave. Go through two lights - at the third light, stay right, and turn onto Springfield Avenue. The park will be up a short ways on the right.
There is no specific address for the park, but for those who wish to get directions online or off a GPS, the college which is directly across from the park is at: 1033 Springfield Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016

Off leash dogs? do you expect off leash dogs? And could you please share the best way to keep other dogs away from your dog in large crowds of dogs. Thanks.

its going to be in a park, some folks are stupid and allow their dogs offleash, i dont know if any dogs there will be offleash, the dogs at the event will be leashed probably.. it happens inthe park by my house too. the best way to keep other dogs away from your dog in large dog crowds is either stay away from the crowd or crate the dog.i am bringing a crate for rufus to stay in in case there are a ton of dogs around..

1 week away i cant wait... is there going to be food there? or is there a store close by to get food? There are food stores less than 5 min from the park, on North Ave/Rt 28 - a Subway, Chinese, there is a natural foods store, and pizza places close by that might even be willing to deliver to the park. I will have donuts and coffee for you and all my other little helpers and we'll see what everyone wants to do for lunch. We'll figure something out.

I have my Leash Police revved and ready to be on top of anyone with an off leash or out of control dog. I am truly hoping that the public will be on their best behavior for the event. Since RPB has rented a specific area of the park, we have full authority to kick out anyone who isn't in line.
The event made the calendar listings of the Sunday edition of the Star Ledger, btw.

ok one last question. is the set up area accessable by vehicle to unload our stuff? The set up area is fairly close to the parking lot, but cars cannot enter the area where we will be setting tables up.

There is a pavement pathway though...I am setting us up as close as possible to the entrance (it'll be RPB, Ask the Trainer, you, and I have to see where I am putting Rescue Ink because they have Harleys, so probably close to the entrance/pathway too).

I am going to have strapping young men with me, so don't worry about it. We can help, you won't have to strain your back. Now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not even entirely sure we can't have cars drive up onto the grass. I have to go down to the park one night this week to scope it out, and/or I'll call the Parks Dept.
