Hey Maryellen, you had mentioned a company that sells bones and meat here a while back - was it Raw Basics?

Well, the Raw Basics gal had contacted me about coming to Pit Bull palooza but as it turns out, she has a scheduling conflict and won't be able to attend. I asked for more info on her company and it sounds really good. The criteria of her meats are as follows:
All natural No hormones No steroids No antibiotics Grass fed Grass finished Pasture raised Humanely raised Home grown in the USA Processed locally
Even though I don't push BARF I still suggest people sometimes add meaty bones to their dog's diets, and it is difficult finding a company that sells meats that meet my humane/health standards (lots are just "human grade USDA" which doesn't cut it for me.) So I was excited about this company - the name sounded familiar and I could have sworn it was because you had posted some info on the company on the forum......

ok got the list, her prices are ok, i have seen better, some of her stuff i can get for almost a dollar cheaper at healthy paws and the raw supplier in nystate, her rabbits are expensive, the raw supplier i used would sell whole rabbits for $8 each.. not per pound.. i emailed her to see what else she had.. her chicken prices were high, some of her other stuff is good..

I've never heard of Raw Basics, I guess it's small, local company? Mary, if you're looking for places that support small, humane farming methods...Paw Naturaw claims to do so. www.pawnaturaw.com/index.htmlI've never tried their products, though. Then you could always search Eat Wild for local pasture based farms to buy RMBs and stuff. www.eatwild.com/

i normally use Healthy paws in washington nj, but figured i would try raw basics.. healthy paws some of her prices are better then raw basics, so i might use both as raw basics will meet me and healthy paws is an hour and 15minutes away... now michele if you wanted to go in with me the more we buy the cheaper the price... mary you too.. the more we buy the cheaper it is...i would love to get a group going so that the prices go down...
