What a nice buncH! Some of yours remind me of mine. Nice pups. But i always wonder how you all with multi dog family's keep the peace. I bet its hard work. It can be, but if you're lucky, you end up with mostly compatible dogs. Diligence is necessary to both know your dogs' likes and dislikes in certain situations, and to know when they must be separated or closely supervised. After a time you know what triggers behaviors and you learn to avoid them when you can, or proact when you can't. And react quickly when you miss them. ;D Dave

Suzi, I love Nine. I love ALL your dogs, actually, but the seniors always steal my heart. ;D

Beautiful, all of them!
I can see that glimmer of mischief in Otis' eyes. I bet he's a mess, isn't he?

After a time you know what triggers behaviors and you learn to avoid them when you can, or proact when you can't. And react quickly when you miss them. ;D Dave Dave, that is exactly right! It is hard work and our lives pretty much revolve around them, but it's more that worth it. We don't plan on having kids so we decided to create a safe and loving home for dogs that other people had thrown away. You do have to make sure that they are all compatible. Nine and Kuma are old girls and they pretty much ignore those silly boys. Barley is extraordinarily smart, loving and well behaved. Otis and Bowski are practically inseparable. The three oldest dogs can be left alone with no problems, but Otis and Bowski must be crated when we are not there to supervise. We've arranged our schedules so that we are able to minimize the amount of time we're not home with them. They are never allowed in the yard without us and all play is closely monitored. It would not work if they did not have compatible personalities and I would never bring a dog into our home that would disrupt the stability and happiness of the pack. It definitely isn't for everyone, but it works for us! ;D

Thanks for the compliments... I'm pretty proud of them! I can see that glimmer of mischief in Otis' eyes. I bet he's a mess, isn't he? LOL! He has A LOT of energy. And he's the canine version of Curios George. He's so happy and good-natured, though, that even when he's into mischief he makes me smile!
