Lola had her vaccines (distemper, leptospirosis, and rabies) last July. She was 4 months old. I just got a reminder to bring her in again at the end of the month for all three again.
I've read some of the other threads regarding not giving the vaccines every year due to them not necessarily needing them every year, cancer incidence, etc. I agree with not vaccinating for those reasons, but I also know that it is necessary for their health and the health of other dogs.
In Michigan I am by law required to have her rabies when due in order to license her.
My question is, how often should she have these vaccines if not every year. Every 3 years? how long is safe to wait?
What really made me think of this is reading about incidences of cancer at injection sites. I don't want to have to worry about that or any other problems related to this for that matter.
Thanks in advance

I would ask the vet about the lepto. It's usually only recommended if that disease is really a problem in a particular area, since the vaccine itself has some issues about effectiveness. Check that corona isn't included routinely; as I understand it, that isn't necessary at all. Also, most current thinking is to do the rabies at a different time from the distemper.
