Atlanta Film Festival To Present "Vicktory To The Underdog" Atlanta Premiere And Star Studded Fundraiser
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 4, 2009 - The Atlanta Underground Film Festival is proud to announce that they will showcase the controversial new film, "VICKtory To the Underdog", the story of the rescue of animals which were used by ex-pro football player Michael Vick for blood sport. The film will show outside, at the Lake Claire Community Land Trust on Sat. Night August 29th, at 10:30 pm.
"VICKtory To The Underdog" was recently nominated for three awards at the AOF Fest in Los Angeles, and won the award for "Best Social Commentary".
This is an extremely different approach to the story that starkly contrasts similar projects done by Animal Planet. The film is bold and uncensored and is centered around heavily tattooed celebrities who are all too familiar with criminal activity and animal abuse.
This premiere comes at a time when Michael Vick is beginning his return to football and is currently done with his imposed incarceration. Speculation about his return is at an all time high, and this film is the only of its kind, suggesting an entirely different take on the animal rights point of view, created by people well known in the pit bull rehabilitation industry.
Atlanta based, Legendary Tattoo Artist and Animal Rights Activist Brandon Bond put his name, money and talents to good use by independently funding and directing this entire project. His intense documentary raises some very important questions about our society, values and the direction we are heading. As well as actually suggesting that Michael Vick actually may deserve a second chance.
The film stars well known actors Danny Trejo, Bob Barker, Donal Logue, Michael Berryman, Pixie Acia and many other stars and activists.
