Today we had our first snow fall of the year! ... This is my daughter, Avery’s first snow! She didn’t know what to think. She kept looking out the windows like “Why is it so bright outside? Where is the grass?”...] awwwww.. did you go out and make snow angels???

Well emilys, unfortunately we couldn’t!
Avery is teething right now and we are also battling an ear ache! She had to go get her second dose of her H1N1 vaccine today so while she was bundled, I let her get a better look at the snow!

Looks like Boomer was having a really good time! We only got a dusting today... the pups loooove running in the snow. UNTIL they realize that it's cold. Then they want me to carry them in, lol! If most people only knew what big babies these dogs are.
Poor little Avery... hope she feels better soon.

Awww how pretty! Boomer looks like he was enjoying himself a lot. I can't even think about snow.....was so warm here in Jersey today. Actually, it's been really warm. Which is fine by me - I hate the cold.
*hugs* to Avery. Hope she feels better soon.

I hate the cold as well! I hope to one day live somewhere a little warmer! Thanks for the all the concerns! I think Avery is feeling a little better today! Last night was a long one (She couldn’t sleep due to the ear ache!). I already wish it was summer and it is Dec. 3rd!!! I have a LONG winter ahead!

I'm in Michigan, we got our first snow last night and got a foot! My dogs love the snow as well. They were highstepping it at first today, then they must have remembered how much fun they had last year with the snow. Luckily I woke up early, cuz it took me waaaay longer to get to work this morning! Hope Avery gets better soon. I have a sick 13 year old at home

Very pretty pictures! I live near Seattle. We get tons of rain....not a lot of snow (as long as it's not like last year). We moved here from NY, so I'll happily take rain over snow. I hope Avery feels much better soon. Thanks for sharing!

Lola1, WOW a foot of snow! We currently only have a few inches.... But it is still snowing! It’s off and on. I wish it would just melt and never return! LOL...Like that will happen! Farmers are predicting that this year’s winter is going to be a bad one (all time lows, freezing rain, tons of snow and all those other wonderful things that winter brings!) I REALLY hope they are wrong!

Amy Jo, a foot isn't actually too unusual for us. I'm near lake michigan and we get lake effect snow. I can't figure out how to post pics from my phone so when I get time to get on my laptop I will post a few pics. Its pretty but its also a pain in the a**

I took them through the screen door. I didn't want to go out in that! In the second pic, the lump in the corner of the deck is the dogs pool, lol.

Lola1, those pics are beautiful! Looks like fun! But I definitely agree with you, the snow is beautiful but it’s a pain! The shoveling, the slippery sidewalks, and the road conditions....Just to name a few! Sounds like I’m in for a real treat! Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs more snow! And lows of 7 degrees WITHOUT wind chill! I heard that on Tuesday with the wind chill the temp. will be around -20 plus 8 inches of snow! Sounds like a good day to drink hot cocoa and watch cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies and cuddle with my Avery!
