Never heard of them. People in the GA area come to us often because of the lack of bully rescues in GA, so maybe they are new to the scene?

Yes, they are new according to their website. There are no names on the site, with just a PO box. They are wanting to take in a dog and people were asking about them. Hopefully they are a legit group and can help out in your area.

I haven't heard of them either, but I have high hopes they will be legit (like you said Mary). If they are this means there is finally a bully breed specific rescue in Ga and it is RIGHT BY ME!!! This gets me so excited! Hopefully I will be able to help them if needed, volunteer, foster, ect...So happy/hopeful about this. Fingers crossed. Btw, I will ask someone who lives in Atl and does pit bull rescue if she's heard of them- her name is Ami. Some of you here might have heard of her since she does a lot of pit bull rescue in the Atl area.

I really really really hope it is legit and trustworthy. I'd run out of fingers and toes if I tried to count all the DeKalb pubbiles that came through my email this week alone.

I know they already pulled another dog from DeKalb, so here's to hoping! We may wanna keep an eyeball on them and see if anyone can report back any news they hear.
Maybe even wanna reach out and see if they'd like to join the rountable?

Yes, we can def reach out to them. I think that is actually a really good idea. Garland, would you feel comfortable doing that since they are in your general area of the country? If not, no worries - I can do it. This is a prime example of the purpose of the Roundtable, to get people connected and to reach out to new rescues in particular.

Happy to do it! Do I just give them a brief descrip of the Roundtable and then send links to RPBF?

Just noticed that two of the Directors are Rebecca Novak and Stephanie Seay. Both are great advocates on FB. I'm excited!

Hi everyone! I'm going through these forums for the first time and am excited to see you guys talking about Shelter Angels! We just received official 501(c)(3) non-profit status a couple of weeks ago, and have been registered with the state since November 09, and licensed with the Georgia Department of Agriculture since December 09. We're focusing solely on the Dekalb County Pit Bulls right now, because of the amount of them being euthanized and since they can't be adopted out to Dekalb residents. So far we've rescued 2-Max and Captain Kirk. We desperately need foster homes so we can rescue more, and donations are always needed and appreciated. I'm still working on the website...bear with me, but it should be finished soon. Foster application and a donation chip-in are on the site. It's www.ShelterAngelsPitBullRescue.org or you can email me directly at rebecca432@gmail.com. Thanks! Rebecca Novak Executive Director

Excellent! I am very excited to have a legit bully breed rescue so close to me now. I live in Woodstock, Ga and my fiance and I may soon own our first home in the Ball Ground area- the offer for the home goes in tomorrow.
I'm telling you all this because fostering is something we desperately want to do and are willing to do, but once we have a home and fenced backyard.
Right now we have two pibbles of our own: Lola who is a year and a half old spayed female, and Ergo who is approx. just over a year old neutered male.
Lola was our first pit and was BYB by someone I knew at the time (before I knew better about BYBs), then later we rescued Ergo from GARD animal shelter in Savannah. We now have a total of a year and a half's worth experience with the breed.
Would it be feasible to fill out a foster app. now for future reference with you guys? Or should we wait until we seal the deal on a house first?
