Hello all. My name is Ryan and I'm from NJ. I'm currently fostering a 2 year old pit bull currently. She is an awesome, friendly dog who is just quirky as all hell. I've never had a dog who was so easy to keep. She almost never barks (not that I mind barking, but she's nearly mute.) She's friendly to people once she gets over her initial hesitation (I think she was beaten by her former owner, she can get really skittish around tall men sometimes. I'm tall so it took a few days for her to trust me, but we're all good now.) She's not aggressive towards other dogs that I can tell, and all she seems to ever want to do is play, get pet, and sleep. Really a great dog.
One thing, when she runs around the back yard she bounces up and down on all fours like her feet have springs in them. Is that normal? She's not jumping up when her front legs go higher, it's like her whole body is bouncing 4-8 inches off the ground evenly. Never seen anything like it, cute as all heck though.
I never really wanted to own or keep a pit, not b/c I thought they were bad dogs, I just knew other people can be idiots about them. I can tell some of my neighbors are skittish of her so far. But she's such a joy to live with I'd have no hesitation taking another one in the future.

Well keep your eyes on the events board, as now that the weather is nice, I'm sure the RPB education booth will be heading out to some NJ events.
