This is actually from '08 so it may have been posted before. I just think they're beautiful! They are done by one of the founders of Bad Rap and they are gorgeous! Tim Racer and His Carousel Dogs Chloe a Jack Russell-Pit Bull San Francisco artist Tim Racer began his career in the 2D world of advertising and editorial assignments. As a former tree trimmer, he was drawn to more hands on work, which he found assisting master carousel painter Pam Hessey. Today, he happily spends his time restoring landmark carousels throughout the country and custom carving the magnificent dogs seen here. He also is a passionate advocate for Pit Bulls, co-founding the Bay Area Doglovers Responsible About Pit Bulls, or BAD RAP. I'm guessing Sally, Racer's own Pit Bull and model, is one of the group's best ambassadors... Smiling Sally on the left ...and clearly one of his greatest inspirations. I remember seeing his work posted on the BR site (or linked from them) about 5 or so years ago, when he had only done one or 2. He and BR hadn't become famous and few people knew about them. His price was about $800 as I recall.

Goodness that is more than I could ever afford for art. Even custom art. They are gorgeous, though, very life like. I guess I can just look at them.
