Hi my name is Donya Land, I am 20 yrs old and from a small town in South Georgia.
I currently own a 6 1/2 week old male red-nose APBT his bloodlines are Cowboy, RedBoy,& Jeep.
Me and my fiance Scott came up with the name Ragen Cajun, Scott liked Rage and I liked Cajun, so I combined them and we call him Rage for short.
Scott also has a 4 yr old female red-nose APBT named Copenhagen.
Before I met Scott and Copenhagen, I didnt like Pits one way or the other, I didnt like the fact that every time I saw anything about them it was bad, (dog-fighting, attacks), but when Id see pictures of them with kids and cats and being family dogs and more importantly lap dogs, I didnt know which was true about them, then I met Copenhagen and I knew the answer right away, the way she greeted me at the gate and was bouncing around like watch me watch me, was just to adorable, and when Scott finally let me in the pen with him to pet her and let her get to know me, all she wanted to do was give me kisses and play, (she knows that word very well to).
Before Rage, Scott got me an American Bulldog pup named BrandiWine (RIP 12-8-07 she just got sick we dont know what happened we took her to the vet they gave her meds and the next day she died she was only about 6-8 weeks old), from the time I was 8 til I was 18 I had never owned another breed of dog besides Rotties or Labs, I had a Rottie/Blue Heeler mix named Dakoda (RIP 3-24-07-old age), a Pure Bred Chocolate Lab named CaseyDrake (RIP 2-16-05),a Lab Mix named WhiskeyRiver who I had to give up bc I didnt have time to take care of her + she had a litter of pups that I kept til I found good homes for them, Duke (RIP 10-6-07 got hit by a truck, they think), Cherokee, Brendal, Liquor,Dixie, Kodi,a Pure Bred Rottie named Jagger(Waggles),(RIP 11-16-07 was bit by a snake or some wild animal),we called him waggles cause he was always waggin his tail and happy, Ive had alot of dogs in my few years, but none have compared to the playfulness and love you find in an APBT! Rotties and Labs will always hold a special place in my heart and all my dogs that have passed away will always be missed.
APBT's have claimed my heart now.
Thanks for letting me join the site, and maybe/hopefully Ill learn more about this awesome breed, and be able to pass on my information to people in my community and the surrounding counties.
