weblogs.baltimoresun.com/features/mutts/blog/2010/12/people_can_wear_their_pit_bull.htmlWear affection for Pit bulls on your sleeves I have a feeling this will appeal to a lot of our Pit bull loyalists around here. There's a company that's designing and selling some badass T-shirts that advocate for the Pit bull breed. Pitbullshirt.com started out last spring with two shirts and the idea that they'd donate 10 percent of proceeds to Villalobos Rescue Center, pitbull rescue and sanctuary. They company did so well, they expanded their idea. They've debuted dozens more shirt designs and each month, choosing a different Pit bull rescue or educational organization to benefit. The folks behind this are Tommy and Sharon Athanasiou, who run Tommy Pop Art, a hand-painted pet portrait business. After chatting with Pit advocate at a Miami dog event, Tommy realized he wanted to do something about Pit discrimination, neglect and abuse. That's where the T-shirts came in. They've got 24 shirts that cost about $25 each. They come in infant sizes on up. (I personally like the one that says Bully Cupcake Company. Haha.)
