I like the idea of the article..but pitbulls are definitely not for everyone and anyone. They might be good to help break barriers in the hands of the right people...but obviously in the wrong hands...bad bad things happen and we all end up in the current pitbull state we're in.

I'm sorry, I'll just never buy the idea that Pit Bulls fight no more/no less than other breeds - of course management is extremely important, and proper management is important for all dogs - and yes, all dogs can fight. But I think we need to err on the side of caution with APBTs and breeds bred for fighting. To me, it's only logical.
Still, to be honest, I've long since moved away from the 'never trust a Pit Bull not to fight' mantra as I think it is overly simplistic and a bit too alarmist. Instead I preach leashes, fences, NO dog parks, and supervision always.

I believe in the "Never trust a pit bull not to fight", but that I feel goes hand in hand with leashes, fences, no dog parks, and supervision always.
