Not all mushrooms are toxic to dogs...... if you can not spot a mushroom that is apparently poisonous to pets.... scoop it up put it into a plastic bag and discard in the garbage where the dogs/cat can not get to it....Iam not familiar with certain mushrooms ,so whenII do see one popping up after wet weather or any time ,up they come........its a very painful death and with out quick emergency, the animals will also pass very quickly..... sad but it happens..

Also, you can get yard sprays that prevent mushrooms from coming back again. also like mcgregor said some are toxic and some are not, I would keep your dogs away and then call your vet and ask him/her what they think!

Yep, they work great. I purchase mine at Mills Farm and Fleet, It shows on the back what type of mushrooms it kills, or you could just buy your basic yard spray I think that kills mushrooms too!

Thanks for the info, talking to our neighbor he told us that he uses a mixture of about 1 gallon of water & 3-5 tbsp of baking soda for getting rid of mushrooms(lawnmower mushrooms is the type we have & they are poisonous). He has 12 dogs lol....yup 12 all small breeds & has been using the mixture for years. He pulls them out & then saturates the ground with a bottle spray. We tried it & seems to be working.went to Lowe's & they don't have anything that will work. Thanks Mcgregor & Lady Pitbull....
