I read somewhere that bathing a "blue" pitbull with over the counter shampoos can damage their coat & cause skin damage???Does anyone have any suggestions or info for shampoos or is it ok to use regular dog shampoo??? Thanks Sal.

What do you mean by 'over the counter'? Dilute dogs (blues, for instance) can be prone to skin issues, so I'd use a gentle shampoo meant for dogs or dogs prone to allergies/skin problems. My favorite shampoos for my blue guy is Solid Gold Super Senne Gelle.

By regular shampoo, I guess you mean a product for humans ?... I would not use anythng that is not made for dogs.....human shampoo has ingredients that will harm the dogs skin, pitbulls especially light colored ones are prone to skin diseases....preferably use herbal shampoos, one that is right for what ever condition the dog has... there are many different types of shampoos.... I usually bathe my dogs once a month or more depending when ever they get too dirty .... aclean dog is a happy dog and so are my sheets lol...
