Well guys...Internet access is currently limited. :/ BUT....Weve made it... Went from a tiny town in Iowa to Bakersfield, California. Right now searching for a job and a house and staying with friends... We've Been spending a lot of time with friends in the backyard beside or in the pool grilling and havin drinks The trip was long...4 days only sleeping out of the car. But we made it none the less. Honey is already in love with the new lifestyle. My friends have a pool and a Husky named Titus... Honey and Titus are glued to each other and are 90% of the time found swimming in the pool together. Lol. This town is very different then the small little town I grew up in....EVERYONE here has a Pit Bull....Kinda sad...We were going to the mall yesturday and two teenagers were standing by the road letting two Pits breed. But other then that, I am really liking this town Just have to get used to its size! Im going to be lazy and give a link to my facebook page to see the pics of the trip lol. So here it is: www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2121477&id=1208283508&l=6e64e151a7www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2118745&id=1208283508&l=8e06d9623aAnd Im going to be taking some pics of around Bakersfield and of Honey soon so Ill post those ASAP. Hope every one and there pitties are doing good! And hopefully Ill have more internet access soon!

I was just thinking about you the other day! I'm glad you updated us on your status!
You'll have to let me know how you were able to drive for 4 days with a pup! We're about to move 20 hours (to Texas) with our two so any tips/advice would be awesome!
P.S. Interesting that the two northern mid-west members would both leave around the same time to warmer areas!

Lol....That is funny Annie!! Well...honestly....Honey was a champ! I didnt have to do much. I wore her out right before we left but on the road she got VERY little exercise. I had her HUGE crate in the backseat with her blanket and lots of new chew toys. I didnt end up giving her any medicine or calming meds. I gave her less water and food then she usually gets so we didnt have to stop every two hours. Lots of chew bones or fav toys and cut back on food and water a little bit are my best tips! For me, It wasnt as bad as I thought it would be. Then again...Honey does tend to be a little lazy!

That's promising! The vet said she would prescribe meds for us, but I'm hesitant. They both do well in the car, but I'm just worried about the length. Maybe I'll get them and have them "just in case."

Thats what I did and ended up never using them! Have a fun & safe trip and try to enjoy it instead of rushing it lol...We were in such a hurry at first then we decided to relax and enjoy the scenery!

Great pics. Honey was such a trooper. She must of known the lounging and pool were going to be a great treat after a long road trip.
