A question about weed killers and stuff. Our back patio is overun by greenery...the ants are taking over too. Too big and too much to pull out by hand. Hubby wanted to get like super nuclear weed b gone at Home Depot. I said I wanted to research alternatives first. I'm just afraid of residue with Pookins and kitties sunning themselves out there. Is there something that controls weeds and yard pests but is reasonably safe?

vinegar or clorox but only if you want to kill everything if it is for spot weeding in the lawn I use the weed be gone for lawns and just dont let him out for a few hours then I clean his paws so he cant lick it. Watch him carefully for a few days to make sure he does not roll or eat the grass in those areas.

My mom always said grandma poured hot boiling water on the cracks of her patio to kill the weeds. I never thought of that! Now that we are going to have a big yard, I was wondering about pet safe lawn care. CA, thanks for all the input!
