EDIT: Scroll down for some new pictures from 9/19!!I figured I'd put all of Saxon's work photos in one place. Here are the photos from the other day, plus a couple from today! More to come! Zaxxon the Destroyer has been really good at the store. I took a couple of pictures today, enjoy! Saxon with Sam the yellow lab: Sam likes to take Saxon's bone and run off with it or stand just out of Saxon't reach (Saxon is tethered): My "Devil-Dog" chewing on a tree at work: The car ride home: I am so proud of my good boy! P.S. I tried to take a video of his hyena sounds at work, but I guess it didn't go through or something because it won't replay on my phone and it won't upload to youtube. I'll have to try again next week. It's the funniest sound ever like a whimper with a purr and laugh all rolled into one. He's getting much better and now lays down whenever he feels like crying instead of standing there and whimpering. He has plenty of toys to play with, which he does until a dog comes in or he notices that I have walked away. The Sporn Harness makes him look really buff He tried backing out of it and failed. Then he needed me to rescue him... That's all for now! I will bring my camera tomorrow and will probably have plenty of free time to use it since it's going to be absolutely dead in the store.

Sooooo cute. Saxon is absolutely darling. Where do you work? (sorry if you said where earlier) It looks like a pet boutique I have been to at the mall. Sooo fun to browse You are very lucky to be able to take your baby to work...

I work at the Planet Dog, there is only one location and it's not in a mall. If the music wasn't so loud this would be a perfect example of Saxon's hyena sound. Listen carefully for it, it's a sort of purr combined with a whimper. Can you find Saxon? Laying down: I have no idea what he was doing in this picture. I was organizing a shelf and brought him with me and when I looked he was half laying down and half standing: Saxon enjoys standing facing the wind and inhaling deeply:

I started bringing Saxon to work again and he has been doing well, though he needed to get used to me walking away to help customers and him having to stay behind again. He's doing much better now, though! He did steal his lab buddy, Sam's, bully stick yesterday for a minute before I noticed, though. He had some stinky farts last night and this morning, but his stool seemed normal, yay! (You know you love your dog when you start rejoicing over poo...) Any way... Here are a few pictures. Saxon being handsome: Working the register: "Hello and Welcome to Planet Dog! My name is Saxon, can I help you find anything today?" "This work thing is exhausting, I think I'll take a nap..."

I know, right!? People always giggle when he jumps up next to me at the counter! If he was a little taller maybe I'd teach him to bag the groceries...

Love the scarf too. and all I could think of is how Saxon is laying there so nice and it is great you bring him to get use to waiting. Then I saw your video and I heard him. Is that as loud as he gets? If yes then you are lucky. if I brought Rocky with me anywhere like that, how he would start his whine that turns into loud noises. It is so pathetic. If I stop to talk to someone on the street while walking he does this pathetic loud whimper. He did it in training when we stopped for a break to listen to teacher. . He has done it on therapy visits at nursing home and it kind of scared a patient. It is the one thing I was never successful training him to stop.

It gets a lot louder, but the camera on my phone picks up music over voices for whatever annoying reason. He usually does it when there is a dog or person that won't come over and pet him, or if I keep him from walking up to someone. The longer the person/dog stays in his line of site, the louder his cries get. Sometimes a person will stand just outside of his reach and talk to him, it drives me crazy. He looks like his having a mental break down, pulling towards them purr whimpering and screeching. He's getting much better about it, if the person walks away, but if they just stand there it drives him nuts. I can't get a good video of it, but I'll keep trying.
