Hello everyone! Again, its been awhile!!! :/
Things have yet again, lol, changed a lot. Well, long story short: ...Home is where the heart is....Ive been born and raised in Iowa, California was short lived and Kris and I (and Honey of course!) moved back to Iowa! We were lucky and found dog friendly landlords quick and were now renting a lovely 3 bedroom house from a wonderful ‘Bully friendly” elderly couple (They have an older Pittie named Jenny!…So cute!!) Also.....We are expecting a little one on Feb. 9th. Baby number two!! Things are going great for us and if everything works out the way we hope, we’d like to have a wedding this November! Thats my crazy news in brief now for the four legged news!
--- Honey is doing great. She’s now officially 1 year old. After a great scare with strange lumps on her face turned out to be benign cancer, which is something thats not going to shorten or end her life. The vet said she may never get another lump again and if she does it might just go away on its own and never need surgery. Shes getting big (she now weighs 90 pounds) and is maturing into a sweet, sweet girl.
In California Kris got me a black Cocker Spaniel pup. We named her Mae, long story short with her—She was very snippy with Avery (Even tho she’s a puppy) when we got back to Iowa and Mae was in love with my mom, and mom was in love with Mae, so Mae is now my mother’s dog! It worked out better for everyone.
...So.....Tomorrow we are going to the Stray Animal Shelter (Which is managed by a no kill humane society but the dogs on the ‘stray’ side of the shelter are “at risk” ) to do a meet and greet with Honey and two adult male Pitties!! We will see which one seems to be the best fit! Both of these pitties were scheduled to be euthanized earlier this week but we got our application in and they put them both on hold. I am so excited!
Honey is very used to being around and living with another dog (She grew up with Marley, Our friend we were staying with in Cali had a Husky) now that we have our own place and she’s alone I think she’d like having a ‘boyfriend’. From what the shelter has told me Im especially drawn to Clancy he sounds really sweet and like a perfect fit for the family and Honey but we are also meeting a brindle boy named Bola.
Here are there petfinder pages...
Here is Bola: www.petfinder.com/petdetail/19451267?rvp=1
And here is Clancy (he is who originally caught my attention!): www.petfinder.com/petdetail/20408394?rvp=1
So fingers and paws crossed we will see how tomorrow goes!! HOPEFULLY Ill be on more often soon!!...We plan on getting the internet at our new house as soon as we get situated in!
