You guys talk about that Rainbow Bridge, Kashi was an orange tabby. King of all the cats. Not very big really but in the kitty pecking order he was top cat. All he had to do was lift his lip and if he wanted the food dish or where someone else was laying they would bow their heads and get out of the way. But he had a soft side too. At night he would come up on the beds first he would let Em hold him like a baby until she fell asleep the he'd come to our room. He'd jump on the bed and bathe Ophie and she would return the favor, puzzled as she always was. Then he would move up to me and hubby and wash our hands, faces, legs, then he would settle into a ball between us until morning. It was probably over before he knew what hit him...we came home late night and there he was gone in front of the house. Hubby held his remains till I got the towel to wrap him. Too many broken screens and Emmy forgetting to close doors to keep them in all the time. He was a special guy and we'll miss him so much...

Thank you for your thoughts. Spooked myself on the NamUs site earlier. There was a girl that resembled my daughter but it wasn't, then poor Kashi. I was up on the bed last night leaning on hubby with one arm on Ophie and Ninja on my chest and one of the widows spoke about her husband saying "They're jumping on the floors above us"...cried for the widows, my daughters, Kashi...my own personal flood zone. But sometimes it's something you have to do <a href="http://s1232.photobucket.com/albums/ff369/fureverywhere/?action=view&

Thank you to everybody for being so supportive...even the dog, the other cats...know he's missing you can see it in little things...Sushi isn't really cuddly, he'll lay beside people but he's not like Ninja or Delilah who'll jump up wanting to make love with everyone...Sushi has been following me around the house and last night came up on the bed and nosed my face...not like him at all...then again, Kashi was his Dad...

It always breaks my hearts to see the animals in the house mourn.
