Well it wasn't going to be a Hallmark moment until everyone resettles the pecking order. He MEOWRRRRed the whole way home. Hissed at Delilah from inside the carrier. Looked at the dog like "OKAY BRING IT!!!!!". I think he's gonna do just fine, certainly not timid and everybody hisses at Delilah anyway... So far so good!

Thanks!!!! I really don't know anything about dogs but with multi-cat houses bringing someone new in isn't usually a big deal. There's some hissing and avoiding for a few days then they find their buddies and fit into the catty family on their own. The only problem I had today was over reacting when Ophie followed me in the room. Levon was doing that Halloween cat thing and Ophie walked over to investigate-I thought maybe he wasn't quite ready for her to get up close n' personal yet. I put my arms around her and slipped over into the dresser...ooops, wouldn't of looked so good showing up at work with stitches in my head...broke the skin but mostly just bruised. Not a big deal, I'm just glad he's feisty enough to get along with everybody and Ophie is her sweet, dopey self. Mmmmcan't ya feel the love, hubby even drove me over there today, Levon is one of my early holiday presents

I'd so rather bring in a new dog than a new cat into a multi-cat household. Cats are CRAY-zeeee!!! LOL

Yes, yes they are...probably why I understand them so well heeheehee...He is such a lover, everyone he's met so far he rubs and purrs n makes muffins. Some cats like some dogs are just so way outgoing by nature. Delilah is like that too. If you stop petting he hugs your arm and rubs to try to get your attention again. I'd like to see Elton again. The last time I saw him live was with Ray Cooper in about '79. Know every song from the first hundred albums!

n' I got home from work tonight and now he's on the counter with Boo eating cat treats. Ophie walked by for a sniff and he leaned over the counter to swat at her. In a kitty dominated home this is a good thing. Boo and Chii run from Ophie so she chases them. The other cats treat her like another cat and she lets them have their way. Levon fits right in.
