Wow, if anybody's familiar with the road leading down through the reservation the damage is incredible. All I can see is taking earth movers and pushing the whole mess down somewhere until it can be cut and hauled. I walked that way with Ophie today just to look. After we climbed over a couple tree trunks I realized there's no way anybody is going to be on the whole road leading down. I let Ophie off leash-something I almost never do-and she got the biggest smile, just wandering ahead a few feet then wandering back and doing circle zoomies with joy. Leashed her well ahead of the main road, but we got our workout hiking n climbing over tree remains, beautiful afternoon, just feel so bad for the forest...

I don't see that road being open till mid summer next year. They're asking for volunteers with chainsaws. They need skilled crews and heavy equipment, can't see Essex County or whoever oversees that area coughing up the funding for that anytime soon
