Thank you all for the support.
Mary-the contract only states that if you rehome the dog the breeder gets first dibs and must know the new owners address and contact info.
Carolann-baby is due february 9th.....coming quick!
I've been trying not to have a melt down with everything going on....my way of handling it is wanting to lock myself in my house and lay in bed and see no one. Imma have to face this sooner than later but for now, theres always tomorrow.

Sorry Amy Jo...this is not an easy situation. I have to agree with Mary on speaking with the breeder.

Ok...Update...
I was talking to one of my dads friends about Honey and everything that is going on with her (He had a Dogo Argentino for the past 10 years--Lost him due to cancer) and he said that he would love to give it a shot with her and if worse comes to worse---I could get her back to either euthanize or go from there. He is retired, has no kids, has no other pets, he's bored and is wanting to add a four legged friend into his life again.
What do you guys think about this?! I’m on the fence about it....He knows all of her tricky behaviors shes been displaying, I explained to him what Will said, but in theory if it was going to work with anyone it would be someone like him...Right?! We talked about him taking her this Friday for the weekend to see how it goes but my mind is spinning….Been thinking about this a lot. Would love to hear opinions.

you can bring her to him and see how they interact together , if she does well with him then give it a whirl. worst case is you get her back. however, make sure he signs a waiver stating he knows about her issues and he wont hold you responsible should something happen..

It seems like an adult who is experienced with dogs and doesn't have many visitors or kids around would be the best bet, but I agree with ME. You need to have some legal doc in place if Honey should do anything.

Great idea with the document....Never thought of that. That makes sence. Im going to put something together, talk to him more and we will see from there.

you can make the document like a foster to adopt type , with the clause in there that honey has some issues and he is aware of them and will hold you harmless should anything happen..

Did you ever speak to the breeder regarding her behavior?

as long as you protect yourself.. if something goes bad... so he can't sue you or something. Make him sign something that explains Honey's behavior and that he understands it

Everyone cross your fingers. Isn't it funny how many breeders say that? They act like their dogs poop doesn't stink when they're trying to sell to you, then act like you're making everything up when their dog is sick. I'd say to list all of Honey's behaviors, stressing that she does have a bite history, and make him initial after each point, and sign at the bottom. Definitely include a line of something like, " I, Amy Jo _____ relinquish all financial responbility and personal liability of "Honey" as of (date). (New owner name) assumes all financial responsibility, personal liability, and ownership as of this point on." Make it blatantly clear, almost so clear that it looks ridiculous, just so that you are protected against anything. People these days are sue happy and will want to nail you for any and everything! Good luck!

Good luck! I made a document that was pretty much all of this ^ Plus a couple other points--Kris, Peter and I all signed it....and Honey went with Peter a few hours ago. Wooo...That was an emotional time for me. Dont know how I feel right now....

Shes been around him quite a bit before (He is one of my dads good friends and we go visit my parents a lot) so she was fine with him. -She would go up to him for lovins but for the most part she staid posted close to me. At first at his house she was very nervous then after sniffing around she was pretty relaxed and calm but when Kris n I were getting ready to go she started acting really nervous and glued herself to me. I had to sneak out.
