So, a couple weeks ago I began switching Bola over to Blue Seal dog food. He was previously on Canidae and was SUPER itchy and had dry skin. Now he is shedding like Ive never seen a dog shed before. Its ridiculous....I dont know how he has any hair left on his body.
Hes no longer itchy tho! lol. Wondering what I can do or give him to help with this. His actual skin has never looked so good, hes maintaining a healthy weight but I swear you could follow a hair trail behind him.
Ideas?!

Coconut oil? Salmon oil? And I swear by a rubber curry (super cheap wherever horse supplies are sold) to get hair off Inara.

Ive been giving him Fish Oil. Can I give him those on top of that??
Rubber Curry....Need to get one! I use a dry towel and wipe him down to pull out the hair...I bet that would help a little.

Chubby has a 'zoom groom' which I'm pretty sure is the same as that rubber curry brush. But we also have the "ferminator" brush and it works like a dream!

I bought a rubber curry from Petco, Im still wiping him down with a dry towel, and giving him fish oil and it seems to be helping a little.
Im not sure if this started because of the food switch or the stress of being boarded for a week. He also lost weight when he was boarded. Hoping it gets better from here and we dont end up with a 'naked' pibble.
