What is hunching? Do you mean humping (mounting)?

Dont laugh about it. remove puppy from situation. Teach "off" its not always a sexual thing. Dogs do it when they get excited about things or it can be a dominant thing. Can also spark a fight. Rocky was and still can do humpy puppy. i just tell him "off" or Stop that. If the other dog does not tell him first.

This is a big case of "know thy dog." I don't let Inara hump any dog BUT her one "boyfriend," Connor. These two will spend hours (literally) taking turns humping each other. But because they take turns we let them do it. And it's funny. Most dogs I wouldn't advise letting that happen, but if neither seem overly concerned and they're taking turns, play it by ear.

I'd not allow this behavior from either dog. When this occurs, casually distract/interrupt the behavior. Right now your Pit Bull is young and isn't hurting your Chi, but if he tries to hump her in a month or two, she could be injured or worse, especially if she gets bitchy about it and snarks at him (which could cause him to retaliate).

I would not allow this behavior from either dog either. Are you planning on getting Ziggy neutered?

I got my dog Chubby when he was around 2 (the rescue neutered him). He was a humping machine when I first got him. Trust me when I say it will spark a fight with the wrong dog one day. It took a lot of work but his humping is about 98% under control. I still want him like a hawk though.
I wouldn't allow the behavior because Mary is right: One day a 60lb dog will try and hump a 10lb dog and you will have a big problem.

I am planning on getting him neutered. I've just heard a lot about when it needs to be done. Whats the best age? It's a little controversial. Lots of the s/n advocates want dogs neutered almost immediately. There's some evidence that holding off on neutering male dogs till 12-18 months gives their growth hormones a chance to influence structural/muscular development and is better for longterm health (and personally, this is what I support) But only hold off if you are 100% responsible about never letting your dog come in contact with intact females, that you socialize with supervision and be careful about interactions with other intact males.

IDK but back when Rocky was done it was 6 years ago. THe age then was between 5-6 months turns out he was actually done closer to 4 months as we did not know his true age. He was fine. He has a small Private part which I dont know is from being done young or coincidence . But I dont really mind that in fact I am happy its small. Cant say he is any different than other male dogs.
