but still.. You don't put your face near a strange dogs face.
Myself, if a dog isn't all wiggley, happy, I leave it alone.
Horrible thing to happen, but I am thankful it wasn't a pit bull.

A good accounting of what I saw. I did read an article that described the bite as a "vicious attack" several times in the article. I hope she recovers fully. Some dog breeds I learned not to snuggle with if I don't know the individual dog... Rotties, GSDs, Am. Bulldogs, and yes, Dogos. All breeds with a strong protection instinct.

it was a dogo, not a pit bull, but still ... I know it was a Dogo but being Denver figured people would try to say looks like a pit bull. Or try to say it is.

the owner wanted his 15 minutes of fame... now he's going to have a lifetime of shame for being the douchbag who failed his dog.

If she does news reports on dogs she should of known better then to stick her face by his. She was blatantly in his space especially for not knowing the dog. Shame on her. The owner is just as wrong for not having control of his dog or having his shots up to date. One more ding for responsible dog owners.

Their all idiots for even setting up an interview including the dog at the studio so soon after such a trauma. Exactly! I've read some accounts that said the whole lake incident had only happened a day or two before.
