well, he used to be really good, until one time he bit a dog in the scruff at his store years ago... the jeff i knew years ago prior to him biting the dog in the scruff when he was correcting the dog. is not the same jeff today... i liked the old jeff from years ago. not the jeff from today

I didn't watch the whole thing, but was not impressed with what I saw. When he "tapped" the Pit Bull that was barking at the other dog with his foot it almost redirected on his foot. Seems to me like his training method could be dangerous to the dogs.

that is just soooooo f'ng wacked.
I suppose he's doing the "wolves reprimand each other by grabbing the other's scruff, so we should mimic that with our dogs" thing???

like him holding the nice dog and forcing the aggressive dog to sniff its butt.. that's supposed to mimic appropriate dog-dog greeting?

honestly i have no clue, when i knew him it was before he was like this, before he did the biting of the other dogs neck .. once i found this out i stopped going to see his wife at the store, and i distanced myself away.. he has changed alot over the years, and i only knew the before jeff, i dont know this new jeff ... its really sad he does this, he has given many good classes on nutrition info from what i heard, i dont go to his seminars as they are expensive.. the last time i spoke to him i mentioned the time he bit the dogs neck and he even said he wouldnt change a thing about it... so he isnt the person i knew years ago....

Who is he? I never get showing the public methods that you yourself do not consider safe to do at home on your own. If in the situation of those people and dogs after a session like that I would be so exhausted and full of anxiety I would probably never take my dog out for walks again. To think that is what I would have to do in order to relax my dog is just too much to handle. I wonder what he sent these people home to do on their own to work on dogs reactivity. I hope there is not too much of this type of training going on.

His training style is very aversive. He has a "dogs are wolves" mindset. I was not too happy with how he was handling a bird and a cat at a food lecture of his that I went to. I don't have any personal issue with Jeff, he's a nice guy, but I have no qualms stating I am 100% opposed to how he handles animals.
