It used to be Cleveland would give Wrinkles hell. We slowly got to the point that I no longer needed the visual barrier, and for the most part the dogs ignored each other.
Lately, little miss wrinklebutt has been posturing, growling, barking at Winston and Cleveland for no apparent reason. The dogs can be napping and she'll start that deep low growl. Several times she has frightened the dogs. Not once has either dog returned the growl/bark/attitude. I've started blocking her line of sight again, but she'll often just stand on her hind legs and lean on the gate to continue her b!tching.
I am wondering if she now feels that the kitchen is 'hers' and is guarding it? She might be close to coming into heat again I think. She went out in Jan. so maybe she is pms'ing?
My daughter leaves for her dads place in a week, and she'll be gone for 4 weeks. It's going to be hard on Wrinkles I think, since Aryn is very much her human. They sleep together every night and she babies her a lot.
The situation is a bit nerve wracking, and I'm not sure which way to go w/ getting her to calm down.

I actually planned on getting her fixed before she came back into heat, if she was doing well, which she is. It just dawned on me the other day that she might be close again. She hasn't been fixed nor vaccinated due to her medical issues. She is stable now, but I still worry about the shots.

Aww poor girl!! Hopefully she can get all caught up and stable too!!
Do you think increased exercise would do her any good?!
She could be resource guarding. I have to have Bolas crate closed at all times because if Capone even looks like hes going to go in it, Bolas hackles raise and he gets ready to guard.

I keep the crates closed here too. Don't even want to try and tempt these boys into snarking over toys. I do know when she first was rescued, and went into foster care, she had resource guarding issues. She got over it though and shared a home w/ 3 other dogs. But I am pretty sure she's back on the guarding thing.
