My first impression was that he was a liver spotted Dalmatian mix from a different picture.

He's def got some Pit in him...or at least some sort of bully or mastiff ?

The spots remind me a bit of a German Shorthaired Pointer more then a Dalamatian from the picture.
They look to have more of that flicked on apperance then rounded spots.

Bet he had big floppy kissable ears to, poor guy.

gorgeous!! all i can say is THANK YOU to whoever pulled him from the ACC- they are euth happy over there and its a miracle she was actually pulled out before they euthed her (they have done it to rescues before- tell them they will hold the dog and when the rescue gets there they find out the dog was euthed)
