So as Jackie and Enzo get to know each other...things are changing a bit.
For starters they both play pretty rough and hard and both seem to tolerate it well...
High value stuff is off limits but there are a couple of low value toys that they'll either take turns playing with, or play with together...
for instance, Enzo will take a Kong Squeak ring and play with it..and at times, jackie wont do anything she'll go away...then he'll grab the toy and run back and forth at her, barreling into her..until she finally decides to play...at times they both have the same toy in their mouths... and walk run back and forth. Sometimes she'll wind up with it...in which case they'll both lay down..he'll lay next to her..and kind of watch..and whine...but doesn't overly take it away..he waits till she gets up then takes it.
Opinions on whether this is a good or bad thing to do?

depends on the dog. it could wind up being a bad thing if the one dog decides it is higher value . or it could never wind up to be a bad thing.. each dog is different. however, will this breed its better to err on the side of caution..
as long as they are both sharing and no one is hoarding the toy or guarding it it could be ok, but keep a VERY watchful eye on them, as it could change in a blink of an eye.
since enzo is still a puppy and hasnt matured yet it could be fine for now. once he matures it could very well not be fine.
me personally, i would avoid toys being played together just to cut out the possibility of a fight and the possible crate/rotate life after, but that is just me. i know others will let their dogs play with toys together, so hopefully someone who does will chime in

I agree with what Maryellen said. Also what one dog deems high value may be different than what the other dog does or what we deem as high value and is subject to change. Sure others who are multi pit owners will give their opinions and experiences.

Winston and my Lab used to play that way with toys. Only it was the lab who acted like Enzo. With those two it didn't bother me. It never got too crazy, and I usually stopped the play time out of annoyance.
I used to let Winston and Cleveland play rough, crazy etc. But I didn't allow high value toys due to Cleveland. These days there are no toys at all unless I am involved directly in the game play, and then I watch how Cleveland is behaving. I also don't allow them to play bitey face very often. They get so wound up, so rough, that I'm afraid of a blow up.
You just really need to watch them together and if you notice them getting to rough, etc. stop the play.

Yep, depends on the dog. Otis and Dharma play like this all the time and have never had any issues. Otis and Brandy, however, are not allowed to play with toys together because they'll get snippy over them.

Lulu and Ozzy could play Lulu and Mr P could play Ozzy and Mr P could not play.. and I had a few near-disasters until I came to my senses

Agree with depends. Like the other day I had Aura over (my moms dog not a pit bull) she discovered a ball which Rocky has no interest in. She however loves balls so she taunted him with it and then told him off if he went near it. He discovered that she will play chase when she has the ball but cant bite at him because she has the ball. Plus she was much more interested in playing with the ball then bothering him. It gave him a break. LOL Rocky does not fetch he plays keep away. He can play frisbee with my dads dogs but not Aura. Because they tolerate that if Rocky gets the frisbee he is going to play keep away and we always try to have a few frisbees so the proper game can be played for the Aussies. Rocky just does not get the catch it bring it back at all. Aura does not know how to play frisbee but she will not put up with Rocky trying to take it from her either. I can however let her play if I have two frisbees and throw them in different directions.

Yeah, I can't help. My dogs don't play with each other.

Roxie, Heather and Pablo used to have rip roaring games of "soccer" with a big jolie ball. No problems. But yes, it's one of those things where you just have to watch and make sure that no one is becoming too possessive. If not, this can be a great outlet for them. I'd keep allowing it, but just keep an eye out.
