Hi , my name is Sharron and I live in Santa Cruz. I have a small rescue , and have been a companion to many APBT's for over 26 years. I take in the dogs that have been extremely abused that other rescues save but don't have the time to rehabilitate or care for. I recently lost my male pit bull to cancer ( a month ago ) He was a wonderful and beautiful dog named Beau. He had turned 11 years old in March. I miss him !! My female , Toma Sinaqua will turn 10 years old in August. I raise and rescue cockatiels , doves , parakees ,love birds and any bird that comes my way in need of love and care. I also have two red-eared slider turtles Three pharo cats and one house cat. Thought it would be interesting to join your forum where I can share my experiences , stories and meet new people.

A pharo cat is a "wild", or "stray" cat that the mother cat has had a litter anywhere on the sreets , alleys etc..that has no human owners.
Marc , your job sounds exciting ! Travelling to Santa Cruz once a month ! Wow ! What a different scene from New Jersey to Santa Cruz !! Was the first trip to S.C. a cultural shock to you ? LOL !!

Oh, a feral cat! I thought it was some Egyptian breed or maybe a nickname for the hairless because they look sort of Egyptian.

LOL !! sharron Job interesting...meh... I get to go to San Jose but i always manage to get to Santa Cruz, Capitola, a winery in the mountains, or somewhere else down there by flying out early on SUndays. Not really shocking at all. the part of NJ i am from is nothing like you know from the Sopranos, Jersey Shore, etc. I do enjoy the cultural differences with respect being more laid back and having more fun. Are you from Santa Cruz proper where the boardwalk is?

Feral !!!!! LOL ! Please excuse my spelling ! yeah it does sound exotic spelled that way ! teeh, teeh !!
No Marc I am not a Santa Cruz native. I go there every once in awhile though. I live outside Santa Cruz, but am still a part of Santa Cruz county. The BoardWalk is still going strong, although they have sold the Roller-Coaster and plan on up grading it to something faster and more exciting !
I love the Sopranos !!
