My family and I just bought a blue nose. She is 8 weeks old today. Taking her down to Cali for ear surgery. Very good bloodline we plan on showing her. Now the question. What's the best diet for her and do I start it as a pup. I want her to get big and be defined and a nice coat. He does and will always get plenty of exercise. Rite now I feed her three cups of dry food a day. 3-4 days a week she eats one raw egg over dry food. Her treats are small pieces of raw steak. 1-2 times a day. Her bones a raw beef bones.

Welcome to the forum! You might want to post your questions about food on the Management & Care Board: therealpitbull.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=bethebestguardianucanbeAre you 100% sure you want to get your dog's ears cropped? It's unnecessary, painful cosmetic surgery. No judgments, because I know it is widely accepted practice, but slowly but surely more people are recognizing that it's pointless.

Cropped ears change the look of the dog. It makes the dog look vicious and mean . Is that what you want ?
Cropping the ears is a cosmetic surgery that is unnecessary. Even with a professional doing the crop , it is very painful for the dog you love. Not to mention other dogs might not be able to read the body language of the head and get into a fight.
I admire some cropped ears....I would never put any of my dogs through that painful process.
From your post I get the impression you want to make your dog a negative status symbol.A bulked and defined dog is beautiful to look at, as long as you don't prance her around as a bad ass pit bull, as an extension of your manhood.
I ,for one am trying to promote positive pit bull awareness to the public , by stepping away from all negative myths and lies from the media and PETA !! I want my dogs to show everyone they are sweet , obedient and can be trusted.
Sorry , I get carried way when we responsible owners or guardians ( wich ever you prefer ) work so hard to show the positive side of the APBT...then someone comes along and shows their dog in a negative light ! We need to stand up for these great dogs and get rid of bans , ordinances and BSL in our communities...BY showing the public our dogs are not evil , vicious or mean.
