2 stubborn dogs..

So aida has never liked training, she'd always just curl up on the couch and watch me and bruiser work (this is how she learned her basic commands). she's become very obsessed with playing fetch and its becoming an issue (she had bad back legs and im just not a fan of the amost neurotic behavior).

The only issue is she hasnt ever been a fan of training no matter how fun I made it..she just doesnt care to do it at all...

I also would like suggestions on new games to play besides fetch. Ive comsidered teaching her.names for a majority of her toys but I feel it would just lead to wanting to play fetch :/

Noha on the other hand hasnt had any training yet (shes only about 10 weeks old). But every time I pull out the clicker she just stares at it. I have tried clicking and treating but she refuses to take a treat when its pulled out. Watching aida do it isnt much of an option since aida isnt a fan either..

Noha is learning basic commands tho just from hearing us tell them to aida, she listens to sit, come, and leave it about 30% of the time.. I just know how fast clicker training can work and would rather use it if possible.

I have tons of treats the girls go crazy over but when it comes to,training they tend to look at me like im stupid, they dont get away with anything. We do practice nilif (which is a little,more difficult with noha as she doesnt know,the commands completly yet).

Im just at a loss as,to what to do ... Im trying to break some obsessive behaviors with aida (fetch, chasing lights, biting at water, etc.) And I figured working her mind should help at least a little and noha at very least needs basic training. But these 2 are so stubborn I dont know what to do lol please give any/all suggestions.

The one comand I learned from here that might help the fetch situation is trade I started with 2 tennis balls when halo would bring it back I would say trade she would drop tennis ball n I would throw second, she loved this game I then moved to treat she would bring ball back i would say trade she would drop it and get treat. now I can use treats if she has something she is not supposed to we trade. I also do it with her toys, she loves it, we trade tennis balls for bones or other toys it keeps her busy and is fun to her and she gets lots of praise and loving

Aida knows the trade game, but it will only work if I have another toy.. When I say she gets neurotic about toys I mean 100% focuz on toy and toy alone. She doesnt like to be touched (she'll actually move away from ppl) and she will flat out refuse treats.

I know a lot of ppl who have said well ignore her or just stop throwing her toys.. Well i've tried tgat as well and she'll go find anything that she can carry, rocks, sticks, etc.

When she wants to play she is dead set on playing, I often joke with my bf that aida is going to die playing fetch because shes just sooo focused on it.

she's just a baby! they don't have much attention span, so don't work too hard.
Try to figure out what motivates her... if she likes sticks, then play with sticks!
For now, only do very very basic clicker training... if any. Just teach her an association between the "click" and "something she likes".

feed aida her meals at training,she will catch on quick lol... no more treats for training- use her meals as the training tools.
the puppy is too young to remember much, they have the attention span of a gnat so it will take a while..

if you are trying to clicker train them after they eat their dinner it wont work as they are full from dinner.... clicker train them with their meals instead...
