Here are some pics of King (and the place the rescue saved him from). This is the rescue that also saved Chubby. Some of the pics of King remind me so much of Chubby it hurts. King's former "owner" was a drug addict that never allowed him outside. Neighbors also saw him regularly beat King and once toss bleach on him. (I'm trying not to think too much about how people could know that was happening and do nothing, because otherwise I get all angry)
Seems he was also adopted out a few weeks ago and had been doing great. One night he got sick and pooped on their floor. The new poeple got very nagry and yelled at him while waving their arms near his face. Unfortunately, King snapped at him when the guy wouldn't let him run/hide. King was returned to the shelter and is again looking for a new home.
Not sure why I'm sharing all of this with you guys, except that he reminds me so much of my little Chublet that it hurts my heart to see him like that. All beefy-drooly jowls, reddish fur and floppy grins (and needing a special diet to help with skin issues).
What chance do you think he has now that he's been labeled a 'biter' (even with explanation, I know people will just see "biter")
He also recently survived an emergency surgery for bloat and infection. I want to take him home so bad! I know I can't (tiny tiny apartment that we had to work hard to even take Chubs), but still...
