I find this interesting and it seems to just hammer home the need for accurate, real world information about breeds for prospective owners and what better way for that to happen than for shelter/rescue groups to provide it. The standard needs to be raised in order for that to happen and when you have in large part volunteers who may not have as extensive knowledge about all breeds as would be really helpful in making informed choices, they are nevertheless put into a position of imparting 'expertise' towards prospective owners just by virtue of being there.
