Dog Killing Chickens?

It was probably being trained for dog fighting. 'They use do use chickens to "train" them,' you know!



Need to find a good home for Molly! We found her about 6 months ago. At that time she was a little beat up & loaded w ticks. needless to say we cleaned her, got her spayed and kept her. Her ears are alittle messed up because the vet said someone cut them when she was just a puppy. She is very timid but VERY VERY LOVEABLE. She loves kids, other dogs and kittens..... BUT NOT CHICKENS>>> We think she was being trained to fight when we found her (Hence the cuts on her when we found her) & they use do use chickens to "train" them. We figured out her dislike while at my mom's and her attacking a chicken then and then attempted again the next day! Anyway, she also has a tendency to wander off even when watching her!! which she did last night. this morning she brought me home a "gift" a ROOSTER.. dead, of course, and she was so excited. YUCK double yuck and i've been waiting for the neighbor to figure out what happened..!! She is about a yr old.. she is sooo sweet and just needs a fenced yard with NO CHICKENS. I am located in Whitesburg, Ga and i am willing to travel and give a large crate to the right family/person.. We are set to get our own chickens soon, so please help her find the home she deserves.

Where do people get these ideas? "This TERRIER is fine with dogs and cats, but doesn't like chickens, I think it must have been trained for dog fighting!" Yeah, ok, great logic you got there!

And I like how she's so emphatic about going to a home with no chickens. Because, you know, most people have tons of chickens living with their Pit Bulls.

Redneckognize! sorry just had to say that. I know it was wrong, but come on getting rid of a dog you saved and loved for Chickens? THis reminds me of a dog at the shelter that is still there many years later. The shelter workers told me how the female pit bull was Animal Aggressive especially because one time she jumped the fence, opened the kennel that housed a special duck that they rehabbed and viciously killed it. Told me all about how she was on a mission to kill this duck. No wonder the poor dog is likely to live her life in the shelter. Look at that poor girl in the picture. She looks like she is saying.. What did I do? I just was being a dog and having fun with the chickens.

She's definitely a cutie and looks nervous in the picture. Poor girl. I just hope she finds a home with a more knowledgable family.

Of course, because a dog with a prey drive, specifically a TERRIER, attacking small things running around is a previous fighting dog.

I used to let our lab-mix play(supervised) with some of my pet rats when I was younger. That said I would'nt let Maxine near Pixel without a cage seperating them.

Such a sweet looking dog though, may someone get her who will take the choke chain off and give her lots of ear and belly rubs.
