The day started out well. Sedona was very excited, and left the house on her own. She peeked out the door, ran out to say goodbye to Lola and Rocky behind the fence and ran to the car. When we arrived we parked next to an old cemetary, then she noticed Dee's truck drive up and became really attentive. She started crying when Dee got out. ;D Sedona was happy and greeted everyone, and most of the dogs. She was very social. But about halfway through the first leg of the hike we began hearing a marathon event's announcer across a large area and that put her into a minor shutdown. Even so, she was mostly upbeat. Once we got to the falls she noticed some children there and that caused her tail to clamp down. During the walk back she was pretty subdued. She still was mostly social, though. I'd giver her a B+ for today. The hike was on a gravel road with limited views, but it was a nice morning. The falls were running pretty well, and there were some minor ones on little rivulets that were also pretty. The fall colors have peaked, and next week's hike will have more bare trees. Waiting to come out Some friends At the falls, wishing the kids would disappear Waiting for Dakota Some scenery... At Buttermilk Falls The old cemetery And, here are the rest of them... www.meetup.com/Sussex-County-Dog-Walking-Group/photos/11354742/

Nah, don't fret about it. I did half expect you to show up with Sadie though.

That's awesome that she was able to recover after being upset by the marathon noises. I call that A+ progress!

Towards the end of the walk she was pulling hard, and when we got to the car she only wanted to get inside. Normally (I can use that now!) she likes to socialize after.

Maybe in the future those little alien children won't frighten the poor girl so badly. She needs to meet someone like Grant and Stanis' girl Sid.
