With all that is going on I completely forgot today is Rocky's gotcha adoption day. Thinking back to Katrina that year reminded me.
Here he is the day before I brought him home. The first time our eyes met, the next day I became a Pit Bull adopter. Then had terrible anxiety and second guessed myself and fought my mind telling me I made a mistake. Within days I had a turn around and fell in love with this dog big time. It took me years to admit to people what he really is. And he changed my life forever sending me into a life of less anxiety and trying new things.
this cute little pup one of 500 dogs at the shelter hidden in the back of the cage shivering almost got overlooked. Thank god for the light that attracted me to what I thought was a sick old beagle mix in the back of the cage. I am so glad I felt compelled to report their is a sick little dog in that kennel. To find that he was not sick just scared of the other dogs in that kennel and depressed and broken. How could such a young puppy be so depressed. Turned out once out of that cage he was a happy bright eyed, intelligent well behaved fully potty trained pup.
