I have two pit mixes that are my children.
First is Karma:
I rescued her from the humane society about a year ago. She was badly mistreated before I got her, which is evident in her ears and tail. She's an awsome dog, but pretty hard header. She is EXTREMELY active. She is obsessed with chasing a ball and pulling rope. I think she is a pit/beagle mix.
Next, is Apollo:
I got him about five months ago. Never expected to get another dog so soon, but it was fate. I also rescued him from the humane society. He was a stray and abused also, you can also see it in his ears. He is EXTREMELY affectionate. He just wants to love on you and be loved on all day. He does have his crazy moments and gets rather spunky. All in all, he is just a big puppy. I am not sure what he is mixed with, but I think him and Karma may be related some how.
They are extremely close to each other and to me as well. They are seriously like my kids.
I would love to have a full blooded pit, but being that I live in an apartment it isnt practicle. My fiances sister has a few and I love them. They are BY FAR the best breed I have ever encountered. I have a lot of experience with dogs and when I was younger I was hesitant about the "bad breeds", but when I got first hand experience with them it was all over. I have been hooked ever since.
I am VERY passionate about animal abuse, dog fighting, and the APBT/staffordshire breed as a whole. I dont support the whole breeding pits for massive size, or feeding them supplements to make them larger. Its just unnatural.
I am ALWAYS getting a lot of attention from people about Karma and Apollo. They are so interested in what breed they are. They run around and play with all the little dogs of the apartment complex, and everybody loves them.
